Description

This stupidly simple deviled eggs recipe is the perfect make-ahead dish for your next family gathering. These eggs are ideal to serve at holiday or birthday celebrations or whenever you are looking for an easy appetizer to feed a crowd.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 eggs, hard boiled and peeled
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (any mustard will do)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar (apple cider is ideal but any you have on hand will do)
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • A pinch of salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and then add your eggs in
  2. Boil for 14 minutes to ensure they are completely cooked
  3. Remove eggs from pot, place to the side to completely cool (or use an ice water bath).
  4. Once cooled, peel and halve the boiled eggs and scoop out the yolk
  5. Place the yolks in a bowl
  6. Put the egg whites on a plate and put to the side
  7. Add mustard, mayonnaise, vinegar, and paprika to the egg yolks and mash them well
  8. Using a piping bag, pipe the yolk mix into the egg white halves
  9. Sprinkle some paprika on the top, serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you’re in a rush you can cool your eggs down quickly using an ice water bath (water and ice).
  • If you don’t have a piping bag or can’t be bothered with on, you can spoon the mixture into the egg whites.
