Description

Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon is a delightfully simple and delicious way to dress up bacon! It only takes a little bit of preparation, and I promise that you will be rewarded with a very tasty result.

The combination of the salty bacon and sweet maple candy topping is truly addicting. This recipe can be served at breakfast or brunch, or as an appetizer for a dinner party!

It also makes a tasty topping for a salad or crumbled on top of Cream of Mushroom Soup.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lbs. bacon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Dash of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with nonstick
  3. Cut the bacon strips in half and place on the baking sheet. Do not overlap them.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar and black pepper and mix until well combined.
  5. Brush the mixture over the bacon on both sides.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes in the oven
