These muffins are quick and easy to make so they’re perfect for a morning snack or an afternoon treat. They’re so yummy, you can even serve them as dessert! With their soft, fluffy texture, rich chocolatey flavor, and irresistible sweetness, this recipe will be one you come back to time and time again.

Units Scale
  • 2 3/4 cups of of self-raising flour
  • 1 cup of caster sugar
  • 3/4 cups of chocolate chip
  • 1/2 cup of veggie oil
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla essence
  • 2 x medium eggs


  1. Preheat oven to 320°F (160°C) and prepare a muffin pan with paper cases.
  2. Combine flour, sugar & chocolate chips in a bowl, mix well.
  3. Make a well in the centre of the mixture.
  4. In a small bowl or jug, mix together; oil, milk, vanilla & eggs.
  5. Pour the above wet ingredients into the well of the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  6. Scoop into muffin cases.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25 to 35 minutes – check your muffins at 25 minutes with a toothpick, in the pick comes out clean they are ready, if it comes out with wet mixture, keep baking and check every 5 minutes.
